Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Update: EVMWD is Prepared EVMWD is closely monitoring the ongoing Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events and has plans and resources in place to minimize potential impacts to water service. Your health and safety remain our top priorities, and we are committed to doing everything possible to maintain reliable service during this time. How EVMWD is Prepared: • Backup Generators: Critical facilities, such as pump stations and treatment plants, are equipped with backup generators to ensure continued operation. • Portable Generators: Additional portable generators are on standby to support any unplanned needs across our service area. • Proactive Monitoring: As part of our standard operations, we continuously monitor water tank levels and system performance to ensure reliability. While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service, unexpected events, such as a damaged fire hydrant or a broken water main, may occur. Our teams are ready to respond quickly to address any issues that arise. How You Can Help: We continue to ask for the community’s assistance in reducing water usage through Thursday evening to help conserve resources while power is being restored. Small steps, like postponing outdoor watering and limiting non-essential water use, make a big difference in preserving water for critical needs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. EVMWD is here to support you, and we will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
