Lake Elsinore, CA – Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) welcomes newly elected Director Matthew Dobler and congratulates Harvey R. Ryan on his reelection to the Board of Directors. During its Dec. 12 meeting, the board voted to retain its current officers. The officers will continue serving for the remainder of the year and the 2025 calendar year.
Matthew Dobler will represent Division 4, which encompasses parts of Lake Elsinore and surrounding communities, from Dec. 6, 2024, to Dec. 1, 2028. Dobler, a water advocate and businessman, brings years of experience partnering with local leaders and non-profit organizations to advance water policy. Dobler, a lifelong resident of Southwest Riverside County, is dedicated to ensuring access to high-quality water that is both affordable and reliable. “I am honored to serve this community and look forward to working with my fellow board members to address water challenges and protect our region’s future,” Dobler said. “I am particularly passionate about ensuring that future generations have access to sustainable water resources, and I am excited to bring my experience to the board.”
Director Harvey R. Ryan, who represents Division 2, secured his reelection and will serve from Dec. 6, 2024, to Dec. 1, 2028. Beginning his sixth four-year term, Ryan has deep roots in Lake Elsinore, having moved to the community in 1981 and actively serving in various public roles since then. As a local business owner and advocate for fiscal responsibility, he is passionate about maintaining the region’s rural charm while improving services and supporting education and youth programs. “It is an honor to be reelected by the community I have proudly served for years. I am committed to continuing our efforts to deliver reliable water services and ensure the success of our district. Supporting youth and education in our valley has always been a priority for me, and I look forward to building on that legacy,” Ryan shared.
During the meeting, the board voted to elect Chance Edmondson to serve another one-year term as President. Edmondson abstained from voting.
A lifelong resident with a strong connection to the Lake Elsinore community and a dedication to infrastructure improvements, President Chance Edmondson shared, “I am honored to continue serving as President. It has been a privilege to work alongside this dedicated board and staff. Together, we have made tremendous progress, and I am excited to build on this foundation in the coming year.” Director Andy Morris remarked, “With our large capital improvement project budget, we need a strong leader who understands how everything works and can communicate well about it. It only made sense to have continuity, and we all fully support and appreciate Chance’s ability to bring everyone together this past year.” “Serving as President is a responsibility I take seriously. I look forward to collaborating with the board and staff to continue delivering innovative and reliable water solutions for our community.”
