Award recognizes EVMWD’s leadership in watershed stewardship and organizational culture
Lake Elsinore, CA—The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) has received the Utility of the Future Today (UoTF) Award from the Water Environment Federation (WEF), National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), The Water Research Foundation, US Water Alliance, and WateReuse. EVMWD presented the award during its Oct. 10, 2024 Board of Directors meeting.
The recognition highlights EVMWD’s commitment to watershed stewardship and excellence in organizational culture. EVMWD’s Lake Elsinore Aeration and Mixing System (LEAMS) and UV System, which improve local watershed health and ensure long-term sustainability, were key elements in winning the award.
“Receiving the Utility of the Future Today Award is a testament to our team’s dedication and innovation,” said President Chance Edmonson. “From engineers to operations staff, every EVMWD employee plays a role in making projects like LEAMS and the UV System a success. These efforts not only improve Lake Elsinore’s health but also support a sustainable future for our community.”
As EVMWD prepares for 2025, the team looks forward to leading water management innovations that benefit both the environment and the community.
